river Ganges in North India
10. Non-violence training for women prisoners in Yerawada Central Jail conducted by Delia Maria and Thangamma along with Rama Sarode of Sahyog Trust. Gandhi Studies exam for male and female prisoners at Yerawada Central Jail is conducted by Advocate Asim Sarode and certificates are presented on 2nd October Gandhi Jayanti Day 2005.

- International Youth Conference for Peace Pune February 2006
Assisted WFRAL in the essay contest for Pune’s youth and in organizing the conference at the Symbiosis Bhavan. Delia Maria was on the selection panel for three best essays.
- ‘Go Back Bush’ Street Demonstrations February 2006 Pune
Delia Maria and Sheela participated along with Pune LRS in a peace march in Pune city. Over 400 peacelovers from different Pune organizations under the b anner of Anti-Imperialist Front were present.

FOGM starts the first Mahatma Gandhi Adult Literarcy Class for illiterate women in Burmah Shell slum on Airport Road

Sixtty delegates from all over the country met for a three day workshop at the Aga Khan Palace to discuss and debate on such themes as, domestic violence, women in the media, women as peacemakers and other topics. Delia Maria awarded the Rachanatmak Kryakarta" (a constructive worker) for the year 2006 by Gandhi National Memorial Society, Aga khan Palace, during the Gandhi Jayanti celebrations there.

Activities
FOGM will participate in the Indian Social forum at Delhi 9-13 November 2006.
We will put up a permanent stall where we can meet the delegates coming from all over India and abroad. We will distribute free literature and badges. Gandhian posters will be exhibited. Four time slots have been requested for panel discussion workshops.
