Our
Mission Statement:
- To
support and promulgate Gandhian values of Satyagraha
(adherence to Truth), Ahimsa (Non-violence), Sarvodaya
(Service to All), and Tapasya (self-purification).
- To raise
awareness of Gandhian thought and to spread his philosophy
within society in order to contribute to changing human
consciousness from greed to love, from violence to peace,
from destruction to nurturance of life, from moral
degradation to moral upliftment, from exploitation to
compassionate action and holistic stewardship.
- To teach
an ethics of universal responsibility to all sentient beings
in an eco-just society
Ways and
Means:
- Peace
education in schools
- Training
of teachers in peace education

Coordinate a network of Gandhian scholars and activists
- Assist
NGO’s and Government bodies in realizing and promulgating
Gandhian ideals
- Sponsor,
promote and facilitate seminars and public meetings on
Gandhian thought

Distribute Gandhi literature

Establish and operate a Peace Library

Celebrate the birth and death anniversaries of Gandhi,
international peace and human rights days
- Assist
in building a cadre of Gandhian peace workers to assist in
conflict resolution

Collaborate with others to support organic farming, holistic
living, eco-awareness and eco-justice, anti-war praxis and
activism to develop a culture of peace and non-violence
Membership:
- Open to
anyone who are interested in Gandhi’s philosophy and living
example, and in the objectives listed above

- We are
self-funded
- All
interested persons are invited to contribute their energy,
heart and mind to the cause of peace, harmony and justice.
